HENN LIU
Born in Taipei in 1990, HENN LIU graduated from the Department of Fashion Design at Shih Chien University.
She has witnessed the rise of the digital era and the growing complexities of mind and spirit. Through this, she reflects on the contradictory nature of human vulnerability—caught between evasion and dependence.
Observing societal phenomena, she transforms her ideas into poetry. In the process of painting, she rediscovers her own strength and allows her works to bring a sense of healing to the world.
By layering luminescent pigments, she creates depth that mirrors the intricate emotions of human existence in a hyper-connected world.
The birth of The Floral Fluorescence Series stems from her reflections on the rapid evolution of contemporary digital civilization. Beneath the dazzling facade of this virtual world, people easily lose themselves. HENN LIU likens the fragility and sensitivity of human nature to delicate flowers, both susceptible to the forces around them.
Suspended in a dreamlike fluorescence, these radiant blooms evoke the delicate balance between existence and illusion.
Blending traditional techniques with contemporary digital aesthetics, her works create an immersive experience that bridges the organic and the surreal. Through this series, she seeks to use vibrant fluorescent flowers to illuminate the diverse and unique facets of humanity.
